Measures taken to bail out three jute concerns

The Ministry of Jute and Textile, BJMC and Agrani Bank Limited signed a tripartite agreement to share the lease money of three jute concerns in order to make them operative and liquidate the liabilities of Agrani Bank.

The companies are- RR Jute Mills Limited, Chittagong, Forat Karnafuly Carpet Factory, Chittagong, and Peoples Jute Mills Limited, Khulna.

The agreement was signed at Agrani Bank's head office in the city Sunday.

Ministry of Jute and Textile Deputy Secretary Rina Parveen, BJMC Chairman Ataharul Islam and Agrani Bank Managing Director-cum- CEO Syed Abu Naser Bukhtear Ahmed signed the deal on behalf of their respective organisations.

Agrani Bank DMD Sayed Abdul Hamid and other executives of the bank were also present on the occasion.
