Medexpo-2008 begins in city

A three-day International Medical Equipment and Healthcare Services Exposition - Medexpo-2008 began at the Winter Garden of Dhaka Sheraton Hotel in the city Thursday, said a press release.
Secretary of the Internal Resources Division and Chairman of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) Muhammad Abdul Mazid formally inaugurated the exhibition as the chief guest while Dr Abdul Bayes Bhuiyan, Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology was present as the special guest.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, chairman of the Medexpo2008 Kazi Wahidul Alam said, "With a view to showcasing the latest facilities in various fields of healthcare service and to provide a platform for exchange of views and experience among all concerned and eventually to help improve the quality of healthcare services in the country, we are organising the three-day exhibition for the sixth time in the country."
Triune Exhibition and Event Management Services (TEEMS) is the organiser of the Medexpo-2008, while hospital equipment and furniture manufacturer Otobi Limited is the premium partner.
