Media urged to point out mistakes of govt

Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu on Tuesday said it is natural that the government will commit mistakes and the media will point out those. He made the remarks while talking to reporters after inaugurating a media centre at the Secretariat in the afternoon. Inu observed that the media plays a vital role in protecting the country’s independence and democracy. Terming the present government ‘media-friendly’, he hoped that the media will refrain from pursuing false and provocative news, according to a news agency.
