Meet on SME cluster mapping held

NILPHAMARI, Nov 16: The Small and Medium Enterprise Foundation (SMEF) has commissioned a study on SME cluster mapping and in this connection a team of two members of a firm named 'Young Consultants' arranged a view exchange meeting in Nilphamari Chamber of Commerce and Industries (NCCI) office recently.
Presided over by NCCI President Abdul Wahed Sarker the meeting was attended by the entrepreneurs of Nilphamari Municipality.
Sources said SMEF has assigned 'Young Consultants', a private research and management consulting firm, to conduct the study on SME clusters in the country.
Field researchers headed by Suraj Jaman collected required information in the view exchange meeting. While contacted the head of the team mentioned that enhanced competitiveness brings rapid growth of micro, small & medium enterprises and to attain this objective SMEF is trying to identify different SME clusters scattered in the country.
