Meeting on controlling essentials' prices held at Gaibandha

GAIBANDHA, Sep 6: A views-exchange meeting on keeping the prices of the essential commodities under control during the month of Ramadan was held in the conference room of Gaibandha district collectorate Sunday with Deputy Commissioner (DC) Quazi Md Anwarul Hakim in the chair.
Among others, Civil Surgeon M Shamsul Haque, ASP M Anisur Rahman and Gaibandha Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Shahjada Anwarul Kadir spoke at the meeting.
They emphasised the need for keeping the prices of essentials particularly soybean oil, sugar, lentil, onion and chickpea at tolerable level during the forthcoming Ramadan considering the interest of the consumers.
A number of representatives of different professional groups of the district, particularly local business leaders, also participated in the meeting.
