Meeting on malaria control held at Netrakona

A meeting on "assistance of mass media to malaria control programme" for local newsmen was held at the conference room of Deputy Commissioner's office , Netrakona on Wednesday.
District Civil Surgeon office, Health and Family Planning Department and BRAC jointly organised the meeting to make journalists aware about malaria control methods and to popularise those among the people.
Deputy commissioner Md. Ayatullah Majumder attended the meeting as the chief guest while Chief of BRAC Health Programme H.M. Monjurul Ajim was present as the special guest with District Civil Surgeon Dr. Sudhir Chandra Banik in the chair. Deputy Director of Family Planning Department Dr. Md. Saidul Amin also spoke.
The chief guest, said, 'We would have to put emphasis on malaria control programme to save people particularly children and pregnant women.
The meeting was conducted by General Secretary of District Press Club M. Kibria Helim. A total of 40 newsmen of different print and electronic media attended the meeting.
