Meghna Bridge opened to traffic after repair works

The Meghna Bridge on Dhaka-Chittagong Highway was opened to traffic Monday evening after the completion of the month-long repair works. The emergency repair works on 13 expansion joints of the Meghna Bridge began on November 5 and was scheduled to be completed by December 4, said a handout. The repair works have been completed 10 days ahead of the scheduled time by the efforts of the engineers of Roads and Highways Department, it added.
