Meloni upstaged in Europe after challenging weeks

ROME, July 12: Italy's Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has carved a reputation for herself as a leader and unifier of Europe's fractured far right, but political turmoil on the continent has shaken her position.
Close ally Viktor Orban of Hungary has poached some of her backers in the European Parliament, and the far-right National Rally (RN) suffered an election humbling in France.
