Member of int\\\'l human traffickers\\\' gang killed in gunfight

A suspected member of an international human traffickers’ gang was killed in a ‘gun battle’ with rivals in Teknaf upazila in Cox’s Bazar district on Monday. The deceased was identified as Amanullah Anu, 30, son of Mohammad Sofi, a resident of Block-H of Rohingya refugee camp in the upazila. Police said the two rival groups of human traffickers exchanged fires in Alikhali Lobonmath area early in the morning. Being informed, a police team rushed to the spot from Teknaf Police Station and recovered the body of Anu. Ataur Rahman Khandakar, officer-in-charge of the police station confirmed the incident, according to a news agency.
