Mentha oil dips on profit taking at MCX

MUMBAI, Nov 20 (Commodity Online): Mentha oil futures moved down in the early trading due to subdued trading activity and profit taking Saturday.
NCDEX menthe oil November contract in futures retreated by Rs 9.10 at Rs 1,170.90 a kg budging in the range of Rs 1,174-1,160 a kg. Volume of the contract stood at 501 lots so far.
December contract traded at Rs 1,181.80 a quintal, down Rs 10.10 and moved in the range of Rs 1,183-1,169.80. Volume of the contract so far was 347 lots.
Mentha oil November contract gained Rs 1.3 and settled at Rs 1225.4 a kg witnessed some buying in trading fuelled by receding arrivals in major mandies of Uttar Pradesh accompanied with follows up buying by traders and speculators.
The total daily arrivals of mentha oil to be ranging between 350-400 drums at the major mandies of Uttar Pradesh such as Sambhal, Chnadausi and Rampur. The contract made intraday low of Rs 1204.1 a kg and high of Rs 1245 a kg with the volume of 4199 and total open interest for the same contact was at 6947.
