Mercantile Bank donates for deaf children in Rajshahi

Mercantile Bank Limited has donated an amount of Tk 0.5 million to Hicare School Rajshahi for education and development of the deaf children as part of its corporate social responsibility, said a press release.
Chairman of Mercantile Bank Limited Md Abdul Jalil, MP handed over the cheque of donation to Headmistress and Member Secretary of Hicare School Shahnaj Begum in Rajshahi Sunday.
Vice-president and Head of Rajshahi branch of Mercantile Bank Aby Syed Md Mohiuddin and president of Hicare School Professor SAA Bari, Vice-president and Senior Journalist Mostafizur Rahman Khan and respectable persons of the society were present on the occasion.
Mr Jalil said, besides working for economic development of the people, bank is also committed to work for the welfare of the people of the society from its inception. Donation to Hicare School Rajshahi is the reflection of its commitment.
