Mercantile Bank donates money to promote soccer

Mercantile Bank Limited chairman Mohammad Abdul Jalil, MP handed over a cheque worth Tk 0.5 million as its sponsorship money to Soccer Club, Feni at the bank's head office in city Thursday.
Mr Jalil said the donation is a continuation of the bank’s CSR efforts for the development of sports, culture and social development of Bangladesh.
Tabith Awal, captain of Soccer Club, Feni and its president Mojibul Haq Moju received the cheque from Mercantile Bank Chairman. The club has taken the donation from the leading private commercial bank to participate in Bangladesh League 2009.
Mercantile Bank First Vice Chairman S.M Ahsan, executive committee chairman Alhaj Akram Hossain, managing director and chief executive Dewan Mujibur Rahman, director AKM Shahid Reza, Feni Soccer Club Vice president Md Shahjahan were also present at the cheque handover ceremony.
