Mercantile Bank elects new vice chairmen

Mohd. Selim and Morshed Alam have been elected the Vice Chairmen of the Board of Directors of Mercantile Bank Limited. The election took place after re-constitution of the Board of the Bank recently. Md. Selim is a renowned businessman of the country. He is the Chairman of Synthia Securities Limited, Director of Global Insurance Limited and Metropolitan Education Promoters Ltd. Morshed Alam has expertise in Plastic Chemical and Cast Polyester Technology. He was declared CIP for the year 1996, 1997 and 2001 for his remarkable contribution in the industrial sector. He has also been awarded Prime Ministers National Export Trophy (Silver) for the year 1997-'98 and (Gold) Trophy in the year 2000-'01, 2006-'07. As the best Entrepreneur he also received DHL Daily Star award 2007. Mr. Morshed is the Founder Chairman of the Bengal Group of Industries. - FE Report
