Mercantile Bank holds half-yearly business conference

The Half-Yearly Business Conference -2008 of Mercantile Bank Limited was held at a city hotel Saturday.
The first vice president of the bank attended the conference as the chief guest while First Vice Chairperson Tazneen Aman, Chairman of the executive committee of the board AKM Shaheed Reza and Chairman of the audit committee of the board Md Tabibul Huq were present as special guests, said a press release.
Directors MS Ahsan, Subrata Narayan Roy and MA Khan Belal and sponsors of the bank Golam FaruK Ahmed, M Aman Ullah and Md Selim also attended the conference as guests of honours.
The conference reviewed the bank's performance in the first half of the year 2008 and the roadmap set up earlier in the year to achieve the targets successfully at the end of the year.
Among others, Managing Director of the bank Dewan Mujibur Rahman spoke on the occasion.
Additional Managing Director AKM Shahidul Haque and senior executives and divisional heads of the head office of the bank and all the heads of branches of the bank participated in the conference.
