Mercantile Bank launches new deposit products

FE Report Keeping 'Banking with Neighbours' slogan in pace, Mercantile Bank Limited has introduced two new deposit schemes namely Monthly Deposit Scheme-3 Years and Special Savings Scheme. Chairman of the bank Md Abdul Jalil, MP, formally launched the products as the chief guest at the first day of the bank's month-long special Deposit Mobilisation Campaign in the city Tuesday. Under the two new products, Monthly Deposit Scheme-3 Years has been added to ongoing Monthly Deposit Scheme of five, eight and 10 years, which would increase freedom for selecting best schemes for the customers. Under Special Savings Scheme the customers would get more three fold benefit after 10 years from respective deposit which would raise security of the customers. Speaking on the occasion, Managing Director of the bank AKM Shahidul Haque said these two schemes would create savings habit among the customers and country's economic growth would be accelerated. The managing director also said the customers can get five-year benefit after three years from the new schemes. Customers-friendly banking service would also be ensured, as customers are the main drivers of the bank, Mr Haque added. As Mercantile Bank has already been acknowledged as the first category bank in the country, we would increase banking service especially for the welfare of the poor opening more 10 branches by this year, Chairman Md Abdul Jalil said.
