Mercantile Bank re-elects vice chairman

ASM Feroz Alam has been re-elected Vice Chairman of Mercantile Bank Limited and Akram Hossain (Humayun) elected Chairman of the Executive Committee at the 426th meeting of the bank's Board of Directors recently, says a press release.
Both of them are eminent businessmen and sponsor-directors of the bank.
Feroz Alam, son of late MA Gafur and late Shaheda Begum, hails from Patuakhali. He is involved in leasing and banking business.
Mr Alam is the Director of Mercantile Bank Securities Limited. He is also the Managing Director of Toyo System BD Ltd. and founder of Shaheda Gafur Ibrahim General Hospital, Kalaiya, Patuakhali.
Akram Hossain, a freedom fighter, was a past chairman of the bank.
He served as vice chairman, EC chairman and in other committees of the Board of Directors of the bank.
Mr Hossain is the Chairman & Managing Director of FARS Group. He is engaged in real estate business. He is also associated with various activities in the field of social welfare, education and health.
