MERCANTILE BANK RECEIVES CERTIFICATE FOR EMPLOYMENT GENERATION

Mercantile Bank has recently been awarded a certificate by Bangladesh Bank (BB) for its significant contribution to inclusive finance and enterprise development. This recognition was presented under the "Supporting Post-COVID-19 Small-Scale Employment Creation Project (SPSSECP)" implemented by BB with funding from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), according to a press release. Under this project, Mercantile Bank has successfully generated a notable number of new employment opportunities. Shamim Ahmed, deputy managing director of Mercantile Bank, received the certificate from Nurun Nahar, deputy governor of BB.
