Mercantile Bank to donate Tk 2.49m to SEID Trust

Mercantile Bank Limited (MBL) will donate Tk 2.49 million (24.97 lakh) to SEID Trust for development of the underprivileged children with intellectual and mental disabilities as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), said a press release.
The amount of donation will be disbursed in three yearly installments.
The first installment of the donation ceremony was held in the city recently.
Chairman of the board of directors of MBL Md Abdul Jalil, MP, handed over a cheque for Tk 0.726 million to Dilara Sattar Mitu, director of SEID Trust as the first installment of the donation.
Also present on the occasion were, MBL Audit Committee Chairman Dr Toufique Rahman Chowdhury, directors M Amanullah, AKM Shaheed Reza, Mosharref Hossain and MA Khan Belal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Dewan Mujibur Rahman, Additional Managing Director AKM Shahidul Haque, SEID Trust Chairman Abbas Uddin Ahmed and member of Board of Trustee Dr Nayeem Ahmed.
