Mercedes luxury buses introduced on Dhaka-Ctg route

CHITTAGONG, Jan 25: Saudia and S. Alam, two leading operators of the transport sector of the country, today jointly introduced world famous Mercedes Benz buses in the high premium Dhaka-Chittagong-Cox's Bazar route.
While inaugurating the luxury bus service from Dampara area in the city, Saudia Director Kapil Uddin said, "we have already imported and introduced 10 Mercedes Benz buses, each costing Taka 15.40 million and another 90 buses will join the fleet within five months. He said, it will offer super deluxe service with waiting rooms, toilets, internet facilities. It will also offer different types of services with Business Class, Economy Class and some exclusive classes for women community.
The inaugural function was attended, among others, by the Mostafa Group of Industries Director and CEO Jahiruddin, S Alam Group Vice Chairman Abdus Samad Labu, Director Shahidul Alam and high officials of the Saudia and S Alam coach service.
The speakers in the function said, the Dhaka-Chittagong-Cox's Bazar route is the most lucrative among the bus routes in the country with a huge number of passengers travelling both ways every day.
Saudia-S Alam luxury bus service will also introduce other luxury bus routes like Dhaka-Sylhet and Dhaka-Benapole-Kolkata routes gradually.
