Merchandising department in RMG sector

Every garments industry is running smoothly with its wings like marketing, merchandising, human resource, admin, accounts, production department etc. The perfection of the wings varies depending on the standard of the factory. It is a fact that merchandising department is very important and a prime wing for export-oriented garments industries. The losses and profits of one factory depend upon its capacity, planning and good communications skill. It is encouraging that the garments industry cannot run without smart merchandising department as merchandisers convince buyers, inform the production manager of all the details and advise buyers if there are problems. Merchandisers also calculate the costs of certain inputs (fabrics, buttons, etc.) required to deliver the orders, ensure quality and may help the sources of inputs.
However, factory owners evaluate them by rewarding them annually. But it depends on the standard of the structure of the factory and owner's mentality. Once society held a negative notion about garments-related jobs but now their attitude has changed and it has become a lucrative and popular job. This department is the heart of garments industry and it may be a protective shield for the industry. I congratulate them for their effective roles.
