Meritorious won’t be dropped off teacher recruitment: Edn minister

DINAJPUR, April 17 (BSS): No meritorious candidate will be dropped from the teacher recruitment under any circumstances, Education Minister Dr. ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon said on Friday.
"If there is any weakness in the recruitment process, I will examine it thoroughly, even at the micro level. No meritorious candidate will be left out. If such incidents occurred in the past, we will take necessary action," he said.
The minister said this while addressing the orientation of freshers at Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU).
The education minister noted that students of the public universities pursue their education with government funds and an institution spends around Tk 800,000 annually for every student. Therefore, students have a responsibility for the people, he said.
Urging the students to use their best time as long as they remain in the university, the minister said "You must utilize every moment for your studies."
