Meter system in four stroke auto-rickshaws in port city from tomorrow

CHITTAGONG, Dec 14: Meter related complicacies in the CNG-driven auto-rickshaws plying on the city streets will go.
All four stroke three wheelers will have to realise fare from the passengers through meters with effect from December 16,. Otherwise, drastic action will be taken against those violating the order.
Such a decision was taken in a joint meeting held between the civil society, journalists, taxi owners, drivers' organisation leaders and BRTA officials at the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) in the city today.
Meanwhile, the CMP Commissioner issued a stern warning to all auto-rickshaw drivers to refrain from operating their vehicles without meters in the Chittagong Metropolitan area.
