Metropolis Cricket season begins Oct 9

The Metropolis Cricket season for the year 2009-10 will begin on October 9 through the Metropolis First Division Cricket League, report UNB.
The Metropolis First Division Twenty20 Cricket League with top eight teams of the league will begin on December 5.
The decision was taken at an emergency meeting of the Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolis (CCDM) at the BCB office recently with its chairman GS Hasan Tamim in the chair.
The meeting also decided to start Metropolis Premier Division Cricket with Twenty20 Cricket League on October 10 while the Metropolis Premier Division Cricket League will begin on October 23.
Meanwhile, the Inter-Club players transfer for both the premier and first division cricket leagues will be held on Sept. 29-Oct. 1.
Cricketers of Bangladesh Under-19 team will not participate in the leagues for their international engagements at home and aboard during the period as per programs of the Games Development Committee, said a BCB press release Monday.
