Microbus runs over 2 minors

Two minor boys have been run over by a microbus in Sylhet’s Osmani Nagar. Four microbus passengers were also injured in the accident that happened on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway around 9:00am on Wednesday, said Osmani Nagar Police Station OC Juber Ahmed. The dead have been identified as Farhad Hossain, 8, and Shahran Ahmed, 8. Both of them were third graders in a local madrasa. The microbus lost control and ran over the boys and then fell into a roadside pond that left the passengers injured. The injured were admitted to MAG Osmain Medical College and Hospital. Angry madrasa students blocked the highway after the accident. However, they withdrew the blockade following assurances made by the police and other local administration officials that the microbus driver and its owners will be booked, according to a news agency.
