MIDLAND BANK FAMILY PROVIDES TK 1.0M FOR KORAIL SLUM FIRE RELIEF
The Midland Bank family provided financial assistance of Tk 1.0 million to Sajida Foundation, a charitable organisation, to support relief efforts for those affected by a recent fire in the Korail slum. The bank contributed Tk 500,000 from its Islami Banking Fund under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme. The remaining Tk 500,000 was donated by Midland Bank family members. Md. Ahsan-uz Zaman, Managing Director & CEO of the bank, handed over the cheques to Muhymin Chowdhury, Director, Impact Investments and Partnerships of SAJIDA Foundation, at the Head Office of the bank on Tuesday.
