Saturday, 20 December 2014

The season's first mild cold wave has spread across northern Bangladesh with the mercury dipping below ten degrees Celsius in some districts, reports bdnews24.com.
The lowest temperature of 9.6 degrees Celsius was recorded in Dinajpur on Friday morning. On Thursday, it was Chuadanga with 8.4 degrees Celsius.
Syedpur and Dinajpur will continue to be chilly as the mild cold wave was expected to persist for some time, the Met Office said.
Dense fog may affect visibility on rivers from midnight to morning, while light to moderate fog is forecast for other places.
One or two mild cold waves (8-10 degrees Celsius) may sweep over north, north-east, west and central Bangladesh at the end of December.
