Mild heat wave sweeps over several regions

A mild heat wave swept over several regions across the country on Sunday.
The regions which experienced the mild heat wave are Gopalganj, Rangamati, Chandpur, Srimangal, Pabna, Nilphamari, Mongla, Satkhira, Jashore, Patuakhali and Bhola, according to the Met Office.
Such mild heat wave may continue in some places for the next couple of days, according to a weather forecast.
The Met office also forecast that light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions today (Monday).
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, it added.
Day and night temperature may also remain nearly unchanged over the country, it said.
The maximum temperature recorded in Dhaka on Sunday was 35 degrees Celsius while the country's highest temperature of 36.6 degrees Celsius was recorded in Chandpur.
The sun sets in Dhaka at 5:35pm today (Monday) and will rise at 5:55am tomorrow (Tuesday).
