Mild quake jolts Dhaka, elsewhere

A mild earthquake measuring 4.0 on the Richter scale jolted the capital Dhaka, as elsewhere in the country at around 9:28 pm on Monday.
The epicentre was located in Rupganj, Narayanganj -- about 16 kilometres east of The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) office at Agargaon, it was learnt.
No casualties and damages due to the tremor were reported immediately.
