Militants enter Kabul University

KABUL, Nov 02 (Xinhua): Some militants entered Kabul University on Monday morning and sporadic fighting continues, Afghan Interior Ministry spokesman Tareq Arian said.
Police have cordoned off the area and operations are underway to rescue those trapped inside the compound, the official added.
A man who escaped the gun shots told Xinhua that he heard at least one blast when he was fleeing.
Meanwhile, five militants were killed as the security forces ambushed a group of Taliban militants in the northern Kunduz province on Monday, provincial government spokesman Esmatullah Muradi said.
A group of Taliban militants, according to the official, was driving from one place to another place in Nahr-e-Taqi area outside provincial capital Kunduz city at 4:00 a.m. local time Monday.
The security forces ambushed and killed five insurgents including a local commander Mullah Dadullah on the spot.
