Milky murder: No culprit should be spared
Thursday, 17 April 2014
The police have recently pressed charges against 11 people, mostly Juba League men, in the sensational murder case of Juba League leader Riazul Haque Khan Milky. But the family of the victim has expressed dissatisfaction over the report and claimed that the names of two main accused have been deliberately omitted. The Milky murder case has created sensation in the country. Milky was gunned down on July 30 night last year, during the holy month of Ramadan, in front of a shopping mall at Gulshan. At first, the ruling party tried to shift the blame on the then opposition party but thanks to the technology, CC camera recorded the full ghastly murder and it opened the Pandora's box.
We hope the home ministry will review the whole case again and bring all the accused under the purview of law, no matter how powerful they are. The ruling party should stop patronising criminals and discard them as they are nothing but a huge burden for the party and can do nothing except bringing ignominy to it.
