Minister for digitisation of land management

Land Minister Shamsur Rahman Sherif stressed the need for digitisation of land management for resolving various land related disputes.
 ‘Land management has to be brought under digitisation. If it can be done, land related disputes will be resolved immediately,’ he said while speaking as the chief guest at a roundtable at the capital’s Cirdap auditorium Wednesday, according to a news agency.
ActionAid Bangladesh, in association with 10 development organizations, organized the discussion titled ‘Land Management of Bangladesh and People’s thoughts’.
While presenting a ‘key-note’ paper, Shamsher Ali, manager (Land Rights) of ActionAid Bangladesh, proposed the government to formulate Lands Use Law or Agricultural Lands Safety Law immediately and take steps to prevent occupation of marshy lands and recover all occupied government lands.
