Minor boy drowns in pond

A three-and-half-year-old boy drowned in a pond at Khalfalia village in Shailkupa upazila in Jhenidah district on Friday. The deceased was identified as Tasim, son of Milton Zoarder of the village. Police and family sources said Tasim was playing in the courtyard of his house in the afternoon. At one stage, he fell down into a pond adjacent to his house. The family members searched him everywhere and his body was found in the pond. Locals recovered the body, according to a news agency.
