Minor boy drowns in pond in Bogra

A one-year-old boy drowned in a pond at Mostafapur village in Dupchanchia upazila of Bogra district on Monday. The deceased was identified as Mostakin, son of Sanowar Hossain, a resident of the village. Locals said Mostakin slipped into the pond and drowned while he was playing on the bank of a pond near his house in the afternoon. Later, local people recovered the body from the water body and took him to Dupchanchia upazila health complex where attending doctors declared him dead, according to a news agency.
