Minor boy killed, 3 hurt in city road mishap

A minor boy was killed and three others injured when a passenger bus hit a CNG-auto rickshaw in the city's Demra area Saturday, reports UNB. The deceased was identified as Hasadur Rahmamn alias Rafi, a one year old boy and other injured were Rafi's father Md Milon (32), mother Asma Begum (23) and uncle Makbul Hossain (30). Hospital sources said Milon, a microbus driver, along with his wife and son was coming to Jatrabari from Pangaon of Rupganj thana by a CNG auto-rickshaw in the morning. Rafi's uncle Makbul was driving the auto-rickshaw. When they reached at Staff Quarter Road near Demra bridge, a passenger bus of Jamuna paribahan hit the auto-rickshaw from the rear Makbul and Milon were admitted to a local clinic while Rafi and his mother were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where Rafi succumbed to his injuries at about 3:30 pm. Police seized the bus but the driver managed to flee from the scene.
