Minor girl drowns in Pabna

PABNA, Jul 9 (BSS): A minor girl drowned in a pond at Charsahapur village under Ishwardi upazila of the district this noon.
The victim was identified as Surovi Akhter, 5, daughter of Sharif Ahammed of the same village.
Police said Surovi drowned in a nearby pond when she went to the water body for taking a bath.
Later, her body was recovered from the pond in a floating condition after a hectic search.
A pal of gloom descended in the area over the news of the tragic death of the minor girl.
