Minor girl gang-raped

Miscreants have raped a 12-year-old girl after confining her mother in Barguna district. The incident took place in Chaltatali village in Sadar Upazila on Friday. The girl was admitted to Barguna General Hospital, said Barguna Police Inspector (Investigation) Pulak Chandra Roy. The victim’s family members said a group of villagers entered the house around 2am and raped the girl after confining her mother to a room. The girl’s father was not home at that time. As the condition of the minor girl deteriorated, she was taken to Barguna Police Station and then admitted to the hospital. The girl is now out of danger, the hospital’s physician Dr Tapash Kumar Paul said. There are wounds on her face, he said, adding that her medical tests were complete. Inspector Roy said a case was being filed. Investigation Officer SI Md Touhidur Rahman said all the accused are absconding, according to bdnews24.com.
