Minor suffers bullet injuries in gunfight

A minor boy suffered bullet wounds in a gunfight between two criminal groups in Shuvopur area of Comilla district town on Sunday. The injured was identified as Hridoy, 4, son of Mofiz Miah, a resident of the area. Sources said the gunfight took place between two local criminal groups—Hasib group and Anwar group-- in the area around 9am over establishing supremacy. Hridoy sustained bullet injuries in his hand and belly when Nizam, a member of Hasib group, opened fire on Anwar group. Three people were also injured in this incident. Later the injured Hridoy was admitted to Comilla Medical College Hospital. Officer-in-charge of Kotwali Model Police Station Khorshed Alam confirmed the incident, according to a news agency.
