Mintoo\\\'s wife, son meet Khaleda Zia

BNP leader Abdul Awal Mintoo's wife Nasrin Awal along with her son Tabith Mohammed Awal, a Dhaka North mayor aspirant has visited the party's chief Khaleda Zia, reports bdnews24.com.
Talks have been ongoing about the party endorsing the youngster after his father, the BNP chairperson's adviser, failed to pass the EC screening of nomination or get a stay order from the High Court.
His nomination was scrapped since his supporter-signatory was not a Dhaka city corporation voter.
Tabith had picked up and submitted forms along with his father and made it through the EC scrutiny.
However, state-owned Sonali Bank Ltd charged him with defaulting on loan repayment and lodged a plea on Saturday against his candidature in the April 28 city polls
Only a night from the hearing, he and his mother went to Khaleda's residence around 10:15pm on Monday and left roughly an hour later.
However, no-one divulged what had transpired in the 45-minute meeting.
