Mirpur Boys earn win over Orient

Mirpur Boys Cricket Club earned an emphatic nine-wicket win over Orient Cricket Academy in a match of the 3rd Division Cricket League at the Gulshan Youth Club ground in the city Monday, reports UNB.
Batting first, Orient SC were dismissed cheaply for 59 runs in 24 overs with Rakibul scoring 12 runs while Anisur adding five runs.
Sujan grabbed six wickets for 12 runs while Yasin captured three wickets for 11.
In reply, Mirpur Boys Cricket Club reached the target making 63 runs in 15 overs for the loss of one wicket with Mamun contributing 32 runs and Arif making not out 21.
In the day's other match, Bangladesh Police cricket team registered a seven-wicket win over GMCC at the Dhanmondi Club ground.
Opting to bat first, GMCC were all out for 99 runs in 37.3 overs with Arif scoring 26 runs while Sahan made 15.
Rokon claimed four wickets for 32 runs while Ranjit took two wickets for 16.
Chasing the facile target, Bangladesh Police easily reached the target scoring 101 runs in 27.5 overs for the loss of three wickets with Babu contributing 39 runs and Rubel making not out 26.
Arif and Maruf took one wicket each conceding 11 and 16 runs respectively.
In the day's another match, Tongi Cricket Academy beat Narayanganj Cricket Academy by 37 runs at the Uttara Friends' Club ground.
Favoured by coin, Tongi Cricket Academy posted 235 runs for nine wickets in stipulated 50 overs with Romeo contributing 76 runs while Ashraful scoring 32.
Chasing the revised target of 137 runs in 21 overs due to rain, Narayanganj Cricket Academy were restricted at 100 runs for six wickets in 20 overs with Rajan scoring 29 runs and Suman 16.
Sourav grabbed three wickets for 42 runs while Sohel took one wicket for 15.
