Mirza Alamgir\\\'s charge hearing Sept 15

A Dhaka court on Wednesday set September 15 as the date of hearing for charge framing against 63 including BNP acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir in an arson case. Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Alamgir Kabir Raj fixed the date following a plea by Mirza Alamgir’s lawyer Joynul Abedin Mezbah as the BNP leader was ill. The case was filed with Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police station against Mirza Alamgir and 62 other leaders and activists of the BNP for vandalising vehicles and arson attacks in the city’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area on December 9, 2012, during a BNP-enforced hartal (shutdown), according to a news agency.
