Miscreants dump body of young man into canal after killing him

A young man was killed allegedly by his companions and his body was dumped into the Shyamasundari Canal in Dewanbari area in Rangpur city at some times between Friday night and Saturday morning. Being informed, Kotwali police recovered a body, packed in a sac, from the the Shyamasundari Canal in the afternoon. Police identified the deceased as Mohammad Sohel, 26, a resident of Honumantola area. The body was sent to Rangpur Medical College Hospital for autopsy. Police also arrested two youths – Milan and Shubhash who are companions of the deceased – from Senpara area in the city for interrogation in this connection. Officer-in-Charge of Kotwali police station Abdul Kader Zilani primarily suspected that Sohel might have been murdered following internal conflicts with his companions, according to a news agency.
