Miscreants hack shopkeeper dead

Some miscreants hacked a shopkeeper to death and dumped his body in a bamboo cluster at Amjhupi village at Meherpur Sadar Upazila on Thursday. The dead is Abdul Kuddus, 45, son of Jan Mohammad of the village. Informed by locals, police recovered the body of Kuddus from the bamboo cluster in a cremation ground around 3:00pm. Atiar Rahman, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said miscreants might have hacked him dead on his way home from Katikata beel around 1:00pm. The reason behind the murder could not be known, according to UNB.
