Miscreants kill Comilla AL leader after abduction

Miscreants abducted a local Awami League leader in Chauddagram Upazila of Comilla district on Sunday and dumped his body near a bridge in Sadar Upazila after killing him. Police and family sources said Nur Alam, 48, a councilor of Alkara Union Parishad and an AL leader, was found dead hours after he was picked up by miscreants on Sunday. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chauddagram Police Station Uttam Kumar Chokrabarti said a gang of miscreants kidnapped Nur from his residence at Dekra village at around 3:00am. The following morning, locals discovered his body under a bridge in Laxmipur village and informed the police who recovered the body that bore injury marks, according to a news agency.
