Miscreants kill man after gouging out his eyes

Miscreants gouged out the eyes of a man and then strangulated him to death after calling him out of his house at Muradnagar upazila in Comilla at sometime between Saturday night and Sunday morning. The dead is Sumon Chandra Banik, 35, son of Sudhir Chandra Banik of Akabpur village at the upazila. Police and the victim’s family members said Sumon did not return home since some miscreants called him out of the house on Saturday night. Local people spotted the body of Sumon lying beside a bush near the house on Sunday morning and informed police who recovered the body and sent it to a local hospital for autopsy. Police suspected that some miscreants strangled the man to death after gouging out his two eyes. A case was filed, according to UNB.
