Miscreants kill man following abduction in city

Miscreants tortured to death a man following abduction in Dhaka on Friday night. The victim is Mohammad Shahin, 40, son of late Ibrahim Maulana of Khalapara of Kishoreganj district and a resident of Tajmohal Road at Mohammadpur in the city. Family and hospital sources said a gang of unidentified miscreants called Shahin out of his 18/8, Tajmohal Road residence around 9:20pm last night and he remained missing since then. Local people found his body on Mohammadpur embankment near Mohammadpur Housing early Saturday and informed police. Mohammadpur police recovered the body, with several marks of injury in his neck and head, and sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy today. Police arrested one Al-Amin in this connection. Shahin was the father of two sons and one daughter, according to BSS.
