Miscreants slaughter man in Sylhet

Some miscreants slaughtered a man and dumped the body in a hillock in Jaintapur Upazila in Sylhet district at some times between Monday night and early Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Yunus Ali, 32, son of Ibrahim Ali, a resident of Haripur area of the same Upazila. Yunus’ family members said he had remained missing since Monday night while he was returning home from his workplace. Police said locals spotted the body of Yunus, with the throat slit from a hillock in Lamashyampur area on Wednesday morning and sent the body to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital for autopsy, according to a news agency.
