Miscreants snatch away pistol from cop in Comilla

Some miscreants injured a Sub-Inspector (SI) of Detective Branch (DB) of police in Comilla city on Thursday afternoon and snatched away a pistol from him. DB police source said a gang of 7/8 miscreants riding in two motorcycles swooped SI Feroj Mahmood while he was passing through Zawtola area in the city around 1pm. The miscreants chopped Feroj Mahmood with sharp weapons and snatched away his pistol. Locals rescued Feroj Mahmood after the miscreants left the area. The injured police officer was rushed to a local hospital and later shifted to Dhaka following deterioration, according to a news agency.
