Miscreants strangle to death four in Keraniganj

Some miscreants stormed a residence in Keraniganj Upazila at some time on Tuesday night and strangulated to death all members of a family of four, including two children. The deceased could not be identified, police said. Officer-in-charge of South Keraniganj Police Station Jamal Mir said informed by locals, they recovered the bodies – of a man, 35, and his wife, 28, and one son, 6, and one daughter, 2, – from their rented flat on the first floor of a 6-storey building in Kadampur area around 11.00am. Miscreants might have strangulated the four to death at some time on Tuesday night, he said. Police are trying to collect evidence from the spot, he added, according to private TV channels.
