Missing youth found dead

Police have recovered the body of a young man from a ditch in Halot area of Pabna town four days after he mysteriously disappeared. The victim was identified as Masud Rana, 22, son of Nayeb Ali, a resident of Bilkula village under Ataikul thana. Police said locals spotted the body of a youth afloat in a ditch beside the Pabna-Tebunia highway in the area and informed police. Later, family members identified the body to be of Masud at the police station. Police suspected that miscreants might have killed Masud by strangulating and dumped the body into the ditch. Quoting Masud's family members, police said Masud had remained missing since Tuesday after going out of his house, according to UNB.
