Mixed sentiments prevail on LSE

LAHORE, May 6 (Business Recorder): Mixed sentiments prevailed on the Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) Wednesday where equities remained range-bound due to lacking investors' interest but last hours buying in blue chips dragged the market into green zone.
The LSE-25 index jumped to 3325.90 against 3279.80 of Tuesday, denoting an improvement of 46.10 points, while transaction volume restricted to 6.909 million shares, as compared to last day volume of 10.739 million shares.
The market opened on a depressed note and stayed in red zone during early hours of trading. Most of the local investors as well as institutions remained on the sideline that resulted in low trading activity.
